OK... the Alpha is launched! Please be aware, as this is a really early release, we have to remind you that we may need to remove or reset this service at any time, so you should probably not rely on it for any business critical uses.
We'd really appreciate your feedback. Head to our dedicated feedback page, or drop me a line at feedback@doublygood.co.uk
Behind the curtain...
This shouldn't be a complicated tool, but there's a few challenges that I've set myself to meet. Here are some of the challenges and questions I want to answer.
Ease of use: It should be easy to use. For the respondents, for the survey editors, even for me. Part of that means respondents should be able to respond to the statements with relatively little exposure to Wardley's doctrine principles.
Context of use: I've been using this approach with teams for around 4 years, and it's been really helpful, but I typically walk teams through the principles in the context of Wardley mapping. Can this work in an online survey approach? Will survey editors find value in the results? Is this something only experienced mappers can use?
Where's the value? My hunch is that there's value for people in being able to assess team effectiveness, get advice on how to improve problem areas, and periodically reassess and track progress... but is that true?
Making some changes based on initial observations, mostly cosmetic for now, there will be a detailed changelog coming!
I've sent out invites to everyone that's signed up, slowly at first to make sure we can support the demand. The main objective for me is to understand what's good, bad and missing. If you want to join, please sign up in the form above!
Frantically getting ready
I'm making sure that all the relevant bits are working as I hope, and documenting some of the obvious gaps, because there'll be questions for sure!
